ever since the mari kita was made compulsory in all singapore schools in 1966 (or was is '68?), orange has always been one of our national colours, on the state flag, just that it was made a little darker, i think.

even ahem that blood that comes from girls every 28 days is orange, it just seems a little dark and reddish because of an optical illusion, but it's orange actually.
see orange brings LIFE, sort of.

orange is the most important colour in the traffic light. with red you can only stop, and green you can only go, but with orange (or magenta as primary school teacher so love to stress), you can choose ! you can either chiong and go, or slow down and stop. orange brings liberalisation ! with freedom of choice, and hope.

FREAKINGLISHLY tired, orientation camp one went quite alright i guess, considering of what a bad preparation job we did. =/ i shan't reveal much about the camp, in case some sec one reads this or what, then the whole surprise is spoilt !

stayed over on thursday night, to prepare for the camp. PSFs went out for dinner and yes, we did have dinner. food court, then swensens. when we got back to school and showered it was like, what 11 plus already, WIN LIAO.

during camp, i somehow became the shower guy. the guy who made sure all the sec ones basically strip down, you know? people might think it's a fun job to force people to strip but really, it ain't all that fun. you have to go in and glimpse to see if they strip or not, i mean it's hygiene, and somebody had to look. but not to worry, no sec ones were violated or touched while in the shower room, i was most of the time outside. just went in, okay, then went out.

so this is how our shower room looks like. the main shower has 8 showers, the smaller one's got 3 or 4. this is the main shower.

and you know us PSFs, not the sec 3 psls but the SEC FOURs. we shower really long. i can't believe it please i'm worse than a girl. bathing for like 20 to 30 minutes. most of the time is because we all were playing with water. it's damn fun to play there ! but we ain't gay lah, seriously. we just don't care what you got or don't have.

so some of the showers for some reason are REALLY powerful, can like spray water to the opposite side. and we all like started aiming around with it. till we made the showers FIGHT.

you know if you stay right in between, the feeling is, WHOOOO. it's pain yet shiok at the same time. but orientation camp makes me feel very, HAIYA. last year in sji, one of the last few times i get to bathe in that fun shower room. sec ones come to sji and like, "WHAT BATHE TOGETHER?!". but i'm sure at sec 4 they wouldn't regret it. not that they become gay lah, but because it's in that shower room, where friends really become close. not that they're gay ! i really have to emphasise that, cos i bet many people would think that sji is bunch of gay shits. but it's like, there's REALLY no more barrier to the friendship.

i sound one of those inspirational bookmarks i usually throw away when i get. shucks. but anyway, sji ain't gay. we are just really close. trust me if we had a choice, we'd rather marry a girl than a guy.

what's with people and the "i don't wanna go to school !", ha like that's gonna help. at the end of this year the sec 4s would probably be going something like, "shit, i wanna go to school here". oh wells, at least i would carry on my life knowing that i was in sji, 2004-2007. but unfortunately the value of that went down with sji junior around. you know i would still want people to know i'm from st michaels, not sji junior. i would always remember the chicken wings and weird looking M on my school badge. anyway, i guess if i ever become like the chairman of the board of governors next time i'd change the name back ! whoo whee.

every year first day of school uh, the most fun is looking at the new kids ! i remember in primary school i'd always check out the newest batch of primary ones ! and now in sji i always check out the sec ones ! they're becoming shorter and geekier every year. i mean, even my batch was short and geeky, but they're becoming shortER and geekiER ! this is what you get from sperms and eggs who grew up mugging for psle.

well i hope no sec one kids would ask me for directions or anything, that would really bring out the evil in me. they wanna know the toilet i'd probably direct them to the school field. i don't know maybe i'm just deprived. i remember in sec one, i went into the school hall, and found my class. first guy i met there was BENEDICT CHIONG. i tell you the memory is still so clear. i remember he talked to me like some beng like that, like "what sia". haa! but oh wells my 112/212 days were good.

my 334 days were like, fun. you know you don't need to have a completely nerd free class for the class to be fun, all you need is a few fun people (like me duh!) and there you have it, you'd have malaysian scholar having singaporean girlfriend (i know who !) and indonesian scholars playing dota and india scholars well, still being the spoiler but it's like free entertainment. OH and i remember SYF ! learning those stupid dance moves, throwing food at stc (nicholas lee's idea), playing with pom poms, shiok man.

i have no idea exactly why i'm like giving my graduation speech or something, but hey ! i don't know. 2006 has been good and i wouldn't really change anything about it, i enjoyed every moment of it, maybe except when i was in pain.

oh let me tell you all a story, true life one somemore.

Once upon a time, a few days ago, i stepped out of tanah merah mrt station at about ten plus in the night? For those who go to tanah merah mrt station a lot, you would know that there's a giant sign that says, "CHANGI NAVAL BASE PICK UP POINT". Basically for those who do not know what that sign means, it means they pick you up there, to send you to changi naval base. simple enough? well it's for those navy guys who need to go luh, cause really, changi naval base is really deserted and far in in in ! So i just happened to be standing near the sign, and the bus to the naval base was there, and the uncle was like "YOU COMING OR NOT !"

so the moral of this story is, either i look really really old, or the uncle is too old till he forgot how young people look like.

anyways besides that, i wonder how those people in kuching are doing with their mission trip. i can imagine nicholas lee like, trying to be funny in the hut or house or whatever they're staying in. don't know how many would be home sick by now, i have internet, they have chickens. and i bet sarah ann cheong would be like, oh so sad, that there're no mirrors for her to satisfy her ego. or maybe she brought a whole photo album of herself i don't know.

hello all ! i'm bored, and it's really late/early now ! it's 4.13am according to my computer clock. shucks i still haven't recovered from the jet lag i got from chennai. that's retarded. anyways ! i suddenly realise i'm really realising that i'm really UNFIT !

i haven't done push ups or sit ups or any of the usual stuff in a REALLY LONG TIME ! and monday i ran mount rosie, i puked at scgs. not because i saw the school or what but cause, i puked lah ! like URRGGHH puke. fitness is so important. there are many reasons why it's important. let me just tell you five first.

okay ! get ready for really really LONG LONG, photo blogging. i've already cut down a lot okay ! this is LLTC B 2006, from 13th-15th october, ENJOY. haha i was a facilitator, with my group peeps EPHREM LEANDER. weird long name. anyways here are some things that went on.

walk the talk, walked from sji to st pats. went past rgs, down orchard, to suntec, tried to crash nicoll highway and onto benjamin sheares bridge, but failed. bashed thru thorny flowers. managed to get to kallang, time ran out. BUS TO ST PATS. and edmund, my co-facil bought tissue paper from the auntie. lasallian whoots.

the next day, i woke up way early to wake up my group, and every other group too. went out with them for their morning run, ran ran ran ran. came back, it's bath time. i went back to my sweet sleeping place. and came across these sleeeping beauties. HANSEL, BELMOND, LENNON, GABRIEL, SI YANG !

hey all, it's been a busy busy week. i'm could bitch all about it, but i don't think people read my blog posts to hear my bitching-ness and life story. whatever it is guys, whatever papers done are done ! no use trying to discuss what were the answers after the paper. i do that sometimes but, anyways ! 4 more papers, with e maths 2, bio, chinese 2 and geog 1, it's an easy sprint to the finish.

coffee, essence of chicken have been sustaining me. the couch has become my second bed. i'm studying on tables. time to sleep? my phone shows me 03:30. this makes me sleep in the afternoon the next day, and start studying late, therefore i have to sleep late. it's a cycle, that kills you once it starts. (gawd i'm using 'therefore', too much essays, shucccks !)

being sec 3 in sji is the thing i'm going to remember the most of my school life. i remember the days where i was so eager to get out of primary school, and finally join the ranks of the secondary kids. then i remeber in sec 2 i was so eager to get out of lower sec, and finally attain the status of long pants. now in sec 3, i can not can't wait to get out of this place. (try to figure out what my phrasing meant la)

i read somewhere once blogging makes you self-centered. I agree to this statement to a small extent. Source me suggests that blogging helps you reflect, and take stock of your life, only that the world can see you do it. This is evident in the source that says "it's my life" and "not happy i kill you". Hence, source me tells us do what you think is best for you, not to deprive yourself, just because someone else wouldnt do it if he or she was you. wah finally completed the damn senior specialist course, or unit drill instructor course or whatever you call it. wah i tell you the ncc clts way of scolding and punishment, EFFECTIVE.
they don't even need to say KNOCK IT DOWN. but the way they scold is like an angry mum at menopause. you won't wanna go against them. we all will be scared little cadets and follow everything they say.

haha yeah such an effective way of getting cadets to follow instructions, but in sji whoever uses that way is one stupid guy. one week the platoon 30 guys, the next week i think will have 90% MIA. then you walk out of school, go plaza sing toilet see some guys come in lock you in the toilet cubicle and start dunking your head in the toilet bowl, then piss in your mouth and then take all your clothes and leave you naked in the toilet.

anyways ! i think i got scolded a considerable amount ! all my things lor, but some clts are nice ! they TALK ! the rest i just use my standard reply to a scolding.

1. keep quiet if they don't ask anything, just stone to the front, don't look.
2. if he asks anything, just give the politically correct answer. - "YES SIR ! NO SIR !"
3. don't try to give excuses, just gives them more things to fault you.
4. just say "SORRY SIR !"
5. if he lets you off or gives you a chance, say "THANK YOU SIR"
6. don't try to escape punishment, if they catch you they'll screw you big time.
7. if they ask you to do a running punishment, FALL ? (haha they scared of injuries)
8. just take the punishment/scolding and start laughing later.
9. don't take it personally, just as they won't (they scold so many, how to rmb you)
10. shout back at him, it feels good (as in replying, not rebelling)

anyways ! my platoon scorpion 1, oh wells the platoon commander is one hell of a nice guy, so are my assistant platoon commanders, I THINK. yeah tough three days i had. every move was controlled, whatever you do is by instruction or with asking permission. hopefully i didnt discount myself on the tortures. scorpion 1 favourtie quote, "NO PRIDE". we finally got our pride, lanyard and the staff sergeant. BUT... must be humble, mmmhmmm ! YO !

inter unit soccer today. ncc air got 3rd
wahaha it's fun la,
chasing people, chasing the ball, sliding, jumping, kicking.
haha then i went home i completey knocked out,
on my COMFY COUCH ! very soft.
yeah then took a bus down to church for my wardening.
where's all my class people !? OMG !
i was the only one from my class, 4 out of 10 wardens came.
4/10, FAIL !

went with my dad and sis to this place in siglap, WERNER'S OVEN.
it's all german-ish with german stuff, i felt so germany-ish.
the food there is EX okay, wah but nice, BUT EX !
got a bite of PORK KNUCKLES, can feel the fats, so slimy.
i basically got full on water and vegetables !
yeah, no wonder germans are all big sized.
except for hitler la, but he was a poland-a-rean, so yeah :)

aww syf opening ceremony was a BLAST !
i mean you do so many rehearsals, all the same,
but having a full stadium there ! WAHH !
by the way i'm at the SK ppl, which is err, right of the choir.
SK is "synchronised kaleidscope" (whooo big word),
basically a mute and dumb choir, can dance cannot sing.
we play with pom poms, and hats and gloves and stuff.

see the way sji guys go crazy over stc girls,
like one sec one boy wanted to borrow my pen,
i asked WHY ?!
he wanted to write a note, and throw at a girl, ALAMAK.
haha i'm always just behind stc
i end up being the victim of items being aimed at them,
thrown by sec 1s and 2s sji-ians behind me.

well somehow i'd miss syf,
the rehearsals, the lesson missing, the clearing up, the fun.

it's been a week of crazy-ness.
LLTC then specialist course.
LLTC rawked la ! LOTHAIRE ! whoo~
walked from sji to st pats, went dragonboating,
went to do high ropes course !... and many more !
made plenty of friends, strengthened friendships.
first shower time, all st pats showering in shorts ! haha OMGG !
but by the second day, all naked in the shower room.
WELL DONE ST PATS ! st pats ben loh gayed me when i bathe, yucks.

so left and went for ncc air specialist course 2006 !
first hour all were cursing and swearing.
we're like.. "28 hours till spec course is over"
they send us flag day for yellow ribbon, thanks to those who donated !
you'll never know if you may end up in prison !
spec course, trainfire, IFC, GSK... blah blah blah.
i miss m-16s, they're so fun.
anyway, i passed out as a 3rd sergeant spec.
oh wells, i'm in APACHE squadron, platoon THREE.

LONG POST !

saturday was fun ! went to gen/gab/ben/jac hse !
facils of st iggy's kid's camp PARTY !
so cool la, i love the cushions there !
and the food there is like, "where you buy from ah ?"
and it's HOMECOOKED ! at least i think it is... -scratches head
one by one we ended up in the POOL !
i was one of the first few, in the end almost everyone was in !
the way ppl scream when they're about to be thrown in,
and when we still can pose for a pic despite their agony.
yeah so shan't elaborate too much la !
it's just a party with food and fun and people.

got home at like about 1am, whew.
and woke up at like 5am ! go church and WARDEN !
wahaha i'm sooo blurr i tell you.
today i was, L4 !
the numbers they give you kinda cool huh !
collect money ! i make so much noise !
can hear all the coins and stuff.
wardening was fun !

after that i went to CHURCH OF ST IGNATIUS !

i'm tired to like give every detail of the camp.
only thing i can say is, i spent 2 hours making water bombs.
4 guys produced about 1000 water bombs.
fingers got blisters man.
we were wet even before the game started.
and the bombs were all burst in a matter of 30mins.
